The Iyengar Institute of San Francisco is committed to developing programming to support students and teachers in growing and transforming their yoga practice.  We offer unique opportunities throughout the year to advance your practice by committing to a multi-day intensive with highly experienced Iyengar Yoga teachers from around the country and the world. Workshops will be available for sign-up online a minimum of three months before.

 

*3 day intensives have a fairly standard schedule which includes an evening practice on Friday and afternoon practice sessions on Saturday and Sunday.

    Lower back pain is one of the most common ailments in the modern life. In this workshop, Sachiko will guide you explore ways to adapt, modify and adjust basic standing, seated, twisting and supine asanas so you can develop a home practice of yoga to manage and prevent pain.
    This workshop is good for muscle strain, disc herniation, sciatica pain, scoliosis.

  • Intro to Yoga for Scoliosis.

    This workshop will introduce both students and teachers to Elise's internationally acclaimed methods for working with scoliosis. Elise will discuss the causes and effects of scoliosis and identify different types of scoliosis in the first hour. This is very beneficial for teachers to learn how to recognize the different patterns of scoliosis and it helps students to understand their own curves more clearly.
