The Iyengar Institute of San Francisco is committed to developing programming to support students and teachers in growing and transforming their yoga practice.  We offer unique opportunities throughout the year to advance your practice by committing to a multi-day intensive with highly experienced Iyengar Yoga teachers from around the country and the world. Workshops will be available for sign-up online a minimum of three months before.

 

*3 day intensives have a fairly standard schedule which includes an evening practice on Friday and afternoon practice sessions on Saturday and Sunday.

    Twisting poses can feel so good when they are done mindfully. They help keep and restore range of movement in the spine, cleanse the digestive system and organs and stimulate circulation. Join Julia for an afternoon of exploring yoga twists. In this 2 hour class you'll have a change to go a bit deeper into the twisting poses and explore the full range of yoga twists.   • Yoga for Scoliosis Parts One and Two.

    This 20 hour teacher training program will include information on the physical and psychological causes and effects of scoliosis, the use of specific adjustments and props for each individualized scoliosis, and sequences of beginning and intermediate poses designed to reduce pain and create better postural alignment of the body for those with scoliosis.
